Karate gear

If you are truly interested about becoming a martial artist, you will need to buy good, effective karate gear. In order to do so, do the following:

• You might want to find out what kind of karate gear is worn at the karate school that you will be attending. These uniforms are available in cotton or polyester. Most of these uniforms wrap around and are held in place by a belt.

• Hand and foot pads are important pieces of karate gear, used to punch and kick a training bag, or for sparring. The pads are usually made of a dense foam rubber and then covered with a smooth vinyl. There are some footpads that have extensions on them that cover the shin for further protection.

• A silicon mouth guard is another piece of karate gear that is important to wear – especially if you get a punched or kicked to the face. These mouth guards can be fitted to your mouth by dipping them in hot water and then biting down on them to leave bite marks. Most karate schools require that most students have this karate gear.

• You can also buy karate gear that gives more protection to the elbows, chest or hands. It is important that you use the proper gear to stay safe and uninjured.
